This is a short one, just a little update.
Monday was my 6th month check up, and all is fine and good. Lily's heartbeat was nice and strong, in the 130-140bpm range. I've gained a totally of 19lbs now, which is right on schedule. My fundal height was 24 1/4", again right on track. It was a relatively short appointment this time.
I have my next ultrasound scheduled for the 21st, so more pictures of Lily will be up shortly after.
Lamaze for Rui and myself starts this thursday. Yay for deep breathing and relaxation techniques. I am thinking about having as much of a natural labor as possible, so every little bit to help me get though all the pain is worth it.
More to come, with pictures, in about two weeks.
Post comments too people! Just click on the title of the entry and leave one. I like knowing people are interested and check up on how things are going. Even stupid/cliché ones like "yay, pictures!" or "Glad things are going well" mean the world to me and Rui.
Wow, 6 months! I would definitely encourage a midwife if you can swing it. In my opinion, ath the hospital everything is done for the doctor's convinience and not the woman's. Otherwise why would you try to push a baby out with your legs up? And they're really quick to give episiotomies. Just the thought of them makes me cringe in such a not nice way! But Lamaze should definitely help, and it's awesome that you have a supportive partner right there with you.
I want copies of the next set of picture too. Glad that all is well. I hope Lamaze class is fun....that started tonight...I meant to ask you about it while we were on the phone...i forgot...oh well.
oh kendra, i hope i get to see you soon. i'm so excited that you're having a baby girl! if you need a baby-sitter i'm yours. i got a job at UR so i'm sticking around for another year-ish. glad you all are doing well!
